According to TNN, while Indian cricket fans were debating their views on India’s 15-man squad for the T20 tournament, the BCCI made another big announcement to advise MS Dhoni.
Dhoni’s last international appearance was against New Zealand during the 2019 World Cup semi-final. Dhoni quit international cricket on August 15 on the day of India’s 74th independence. last year and retired from cricket. Dhoni has returned to the cricket team. this point Dhoni will tackle India Colors because the mentor of the Indian team within the supporting role of head coach Ravi Shastri.

Board secretary Jai Shah also revealed the thinking behind bringing Dhoni into the team as a member of the support staff.
According to Sports Tak, Jai Shah had spoken to Dhoni about such a move and later showed keen interest in contributing to the Indian team with the role of membership. In fact, the primary conversation between Shah and Dhoni over the role was reportedly held two months ago.
During the virtual interaction between the 2, Shah offered Dhoni an opportunity to travel to the 2021 T20 tournament as a mentor. Dhoni sought clarity on his role so agreed to that.
